Variables
Townsend's Warbler
Occurred the most disproportionately in hexagons with April
maximum temperature (hex. med.) of 6-11 C and July minimum
temperature (hex. max.) of 5-9 C. In warmer regions (April maximum
temperature (hex. med.) of 12-14 C), it occurred mostly in hexagons
with mixed conifer forest (Northeast Oregon). The logistic regression
analysis showed positive or negative association with ponderosa pine
forest, subalpine fir - lodgepole pine montane conifer, true fir -
mountain hemlock montane forest, big sagebrush shrubland, road
density, elevation (hex. avg.), July minimum temperature (hex. min.),
and-to a lesser degree-topographic variation, the extent of public
land, and April maximum temperature (hex. avg.).
